My dear students, our tool AULA XXI has changed this year and it doesn't work properly so far. We need to keep in contact so we will do it by email and through our website, we hope everything is fixed soon.

A memorable day on PhotoPeach

This is our next project. You have to create a story describing an event in the past. First you write your memorable story and the you look for the photos you want to use. Then you go to http://photopeach.com/home and follow the instructions on the site to create your own slideshow. We will do an example in class next Thursday and then you start! Finally you upload your works to your blogs and that's it.

A wonderful on line dictionary and thesaurus.

Thanks to an English teacher who is now following this blog, Joan Rubies, I have had the opportunity to know this wonderful tool. I also recommend to visit his blog, full of good ideas and tools for learning English.

Memidex is a free online dictionary and thesaurus.
Memidex reaches a new total of 12.5 million external reference links and 1.8 million etymology references.
Each audio reference has a button to play the audio directly from the Memidex web page.

A new tool: prezi

I've just discovered a new tool that I find fascinating, I'm starting with it but I can imagine its possibilities, here is an example I've done in some minutes, it is something elemental...I have to practise more... but I'm sure you'll get wonderful presentations with it.

Time is gold

Add fun to your classroom games and activities with the time bomb counter. At the end of a given time the bomb explodes. Click on the image and you'll find more fun teaching tools. You can even download some of them.

A useful tool

I want to show you a place where you can get any text translated word by word. Its name is LINGRO and it is very easy: when you enter LINGO you write the address of the webpage you want to translate, choose the language and wait for a few seconds, afterwards you can click on any word you don't know and it will be inmediately translated, you can even listen to its sound. Fantastic! I've found it thanks to a colleague's blog. Thank you Carmen!

Para descargar los archivos

Cuando accedais a my slidespace os aparecerán los archivos subidos, pero para verlos todos, tenéis que pinchar en el número entre paréntesis (12) que aparece sobre los tres últimos, así se despliegan todos los demás. Decidme si tenéis problemas.

Más para los profes en prácticas

Para acceder a los materiales que os comentaba en la noticia anterior tenéis que hacer lo siguiente:

1. pinchar aquí
2. Váis a la parte derecha dónde pone: Hello guest! (login/signup) y pincháis sobre signup
3. Se despliega una nueva ventana y aparece un recuadro a la derecha que lleva como título Login to your SlideShare account y debajo username y password
4. Introducís los dos datos y pincháis en login
5. Aparecerá una nueva ventana y entonces váis a la barra principal donde aparece Home, Browse, My Slidespace, Upload,etc... Pincháis sobre My Slidespace
6. YA ESTÁIS
7. En esa ventana aparecen todos los materiales subidos (12). Ya podéis descargar lo que queráis.
